One decision per agent. Keep it, downsize it, replace it or shut it down. Signed by a named executive. Checked again every 60 days. Enforceable by DAL-X.
01
We set the baseline
What each agent can do, where it reaches and who must approve each action. The decision rests on evidence, never on assumption.
02
The sponsor decides
A named executive approves the decision or records a different one. Every 60 days, a checkup asks the question again.
03
DAL-X enforces
Engineering loads the signed rules into DAL-X. Enforcement begins once the rules are in place and the evidence is accepted.
Why this exists
Agents are approved once and never looked at again.
Prompts, models, owners and policies change. The agent keeps running.
Without a signed record of who approved what, there is nothing to enforce.
How it works
Agents change after they are approved. The checkup catches it before it turns into an incident.
STEP 1
Baseline review
We list each agent with its owner, what it can do, where it reaches and who must approve each action. Our analyst recommends a decision. The executive sponsor signs it, or records a different one with reasons.
STEP 2
Checkup every 60 days
We compare each agent today with its baseline: what it now does, what changed in the business, how accurate it is and what it costs. Anything that drifted is flagged. A checkup can also start early, when a model, owner or policy changes.
STEP 3
Decide and enforce
Each checkup ends in a signed decision and a date for the next one. When a decision or rule changes, the sponsor signs a new version and engineering updates DAL-X to match.
The checkup
Every answer shows how we know it: seen in logs, backed by a document, or stated by the owner. A statement alone never keeps an agent that can move money or change records.
01
Is it still doing only what was approved?
New actions, new systems reached, wider scope, or actions that skip the required approval.
02
Have the requirements changed?
A new policy, a new owner, a new model or prompt, or a business need that has moved on.
03
Is it still accurate?
Errors, overrides by people, complaints and incidents since the last checkup.
04
Is it still worth it?
Cost and volume against the outcome it was meant to improve. The answer decides Keep, Downsize, Replace or Kill.
The decisions
When the sponsor chooses differently from the analyst, both decisions are kept as separate, dated records.
KEEP
Meets a real business need with no simpler option.
Keeps running within the approved limits, and is checked again in 60 days.
DOWNSIZE
The need is real, but the reach is too wide.
Runs only within the approved, smaller scope, because today it has more reach or discretion than the need justifies.
REPLACE
A different tool would do this job better.
Authority is removed from this agent. The approved replacement takes over once it works.
KILL
No approved business need.
All authority is removed. The agent stays blocked until it is shut down and its registration is closed.
